Ukraine–Euratom projects

Ukraine has joined the Euratom Programme since 2016 under the Horizon 2020 programme. The Ukrainian community has entered more than 20 consortia, performing scientific research and developing innovative solutions in the fields of fission and fusion together with the European Euratom community.

The EUROfusion project under the Horizon Europe Program cycle is an extension of research in the direction of controlled thermonuclear fusion aimed at supporting the operation of the ITER reactor, the construction of the demonstration reactor DEMO and the development of a safe source of electricity based on thermonuclear fusion until 2050

The catalog of Euratom projects under the Horizon 2020 Program cycle has a description of 19 Euratom projects with the participation of Ukrainian organizations during 2014-2020 for research on thermonuclear fusion, nuclear fission reactors, radiation protection, radioactive waste management and other areas of the Euratom Program
