From May 12 to 16, 2025, Warsaw will host the 11th Euratom International Research and Training Conference on Reactor System Safety (FISA) and Radioactive Waste Management (EURADWASTE). These events will be organized during Poland’s Presidency of the EU Council in collaboration with the National Centre for Nuclear Research (NCBJ), the Sustainable Nuclear Energy Technology Platform (SNETP), the European Nuclear Education Network (ENEN), the European Nuclear Society (ENS), and the European Nuclear Society – Young Generation Network (ENS-YGN).
The FISA-EURADWASTE conference platform and SNETP Forum are among the most powerful venues for developing new scientific contacts, with prospects for joint research and participation in future Euratom calls!
The main objectives of these high-level policy conferences are to present progress and key achievements of the key Euratom research and training projects implemented since 2022 and to stimulate discussions on recent technological nuclear Research and Innovations, key national, European and international challenges and opportunities, partnerships and the European Alliance on SMRs, as well as exploring future perspectives.
The event will be an opportunity to engage with all relevant stakeholders: research and training organisations, academia, young generation, industry, small and medium enterprises, spin-offs and start-ups, national and European policy makers, national government officials, European technology platforms, technical support organisations, European fora, European civil society and International Organisations e.g. IAEA, OECD/NEA or WNA.
The programme is being designed to allow high engagement of policy makers, industrial leaders, experts and young generation researchers to discuss the upcoming challenges and the priorities of the nuclear sector to be addressed with the future European framework program.
