On March 13, 2025 at 15:30 (CET), an online webinar will be held on the design features and operational characteristics of the AP1000® nuclear plant. The event is organized as part of the International Webinars in Nuclear Energy series.
The event will cover the following key aspects:
- Basic design principles and technical features of the AP1000® plant.
- The nuclear safety concept is applied in this technology.
- Modular approach to construction and operation.
- Practical experience of using AP1000® plants in China and the USA.
The speaker will be nuclear energy expert Julie Gorzmans. The event will last one hour, including 40 minutes of presentation and 20 minutes for answering questions from participants.
The webinar is being held within the ENEN2+ project in collaboration with the University of Pisa, DICI and Westinghouse Electric Company.
