The European research community CONNECT-NM has announced the results of its cascade funding call, approving 17 new research projects. The call was highly competitive and demonstrated the strong scientific quality of the submitted proposals, highlighting the dynamic development of nuclear materials research across Europe.
Key figures of the call:
• 51 proposals submitted
• 30 participating countries
• 17 selected projects involving 69 organisations
The selected projects cover advanced areas of nuclear materials science, including qualification of new materials, digital tools, structural integrity, nuclear fuels, corrosion processes, irradiation effects, and long-term operation of nuclear installations.
Importantly, Ukrainian researchers are participating in several of the selected projects, demonstrating the high level of Ukrainian scientific expertise and active integration into the European research area.

The implementation of these projects will contribute to accelerating innovation, harmonising research approaches, and strengthening the transition from research to practical application in the field of nuclear materials.
More information about the new projects and their participants is available on the official CONNECT-NM website.
