On September 27-28, 2023, the Euratom National Contact Point in Ukraine held an online training on the topic ” Towards improving project proposals and project management under the European Union Framework Programmes Horizon 2020/Horizon Europe/Euratom”.

The purpose of the training is to increase the knowledge and skills of scientists in searching, creating project proposals and implementing projects under the framework programmes of the European Commission HORIZON 2020, HORIZON EUROPE, EURATOM.

The speaker of the training is Sergey Pugach – coordinator of the Euratom NCP in Ukraine, NSC KIPT.

The training was carried out online for 2 days:

September 27, 2023 (14:00 – 17:00) – the first session

September 28, 2023 (14:00 – 17:00) – the second session

The objective of the first session – to enhance  understanding of project implementation during project planning.

The following issues were considered:

  • project requirements,
  • project evaluation,
  • proposal structure,
  • carrying out of the project report.

The objective of the second session – provide understanding of budget planning, expenses, expense declarations and financial reporting.

The following issues were considered:

  • project expenses and their understanding,
  • planning and declaration.

The online training was attended by 14 participants who are representatives of education and science, are involved in training personnel for the nuclear industry of Ukraine and have experience in participating in research and innovation activities.

The participants noted that, in general, the information provided was interesting and useful. The training gave the participants the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and interact with experts in this field.
