On March 21, 2025, the second training day occurred at the Scientific Park «Precarpathian University» in Ivano-Frankivsk. The event was organized within the activities of the National Contact Point for the Euratom Program in Ukraine (NCP Euratom fission, NCP Euratom fusion) and as part of the training initiatives of the NURECAB project.
The hybrid format of the event ensured maximum accessibility for participants from different regions. A total of 21 representatives from scientific, educational, and industrial organizations in Kharkiv, Odesa, Kyiv, and Ivano-Frankivsk attended the training. Additionally, heads of two contact points from the Ukrainian NCP Horizon Europe network joined the event:
- NCP Joint Research Centre (NCP JRC)
- NCP European Research Council (NCP ERC)
The first half of the day focused on key aspects of finding calls and tools for partner search within HORIZON EUROPE and EURATOM programs. Serhii Pugach, coordinator of the NURECAB project (National Contact Point for Euratom on Nuclear Fission, NSC KIPT), provided participants with practical advice on working with the European Commission Portal and other sources of information for finding calls and partners. An engaging discussion allowed participants to share experiences, analyze real cases of successful international cooperation, and receive answers to pressing questions.

The second half of the day featured a final hybrid session dedicated to financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and auditing in HORIZON EUROPE and EURATOM projects. Serhii Pugach explained the main requirements for financial documentation, the specifics of cost categories, expense formation, and control throughout the project. Participants also had the opportunity to apply their knowledge in practice by working on budget design and project reporting exercises.

The event was held as part of the planned activities of the CSA NURECAB project (GA#101173510), funded by the European Commission under the Euratom Research and Training Program, HORIZON EUROPE.
