The Euratom National Contact Point (NCP) in Ukraine continues to strengthen its expertise and enhance its competencies in the preparation of project proposals under the Horizon Europe Programme.

From 10 to 12 June 2026, in Brussels, Belgium, Vitalii Zhurenko, representative of the Euratom NCP in Ukraine, participated in the specialised training course “HORIZON EUROPE PROPOSAL WRITING”, organised by the European Fund Management Consulting (EFMC). Upon successful completion of the programme, he received an official certificate.

The training focused on the practical aspects of developing competitive project proposals for Horizon Europe calls. Participants explored strategic approaches to shaping project concepts and preparing high-quality proposals, while gaining an in-depth understanding of the key sections of the application: Excellence, Impact, and Implementation. Particular attention was given to methods for improving proposal quality, involving third parties, budget preparation, completing Part A of the application, and navigating the submission process.

Participation in the training contributed to strengthening expertise in the development of successful project proposals and will support the future activities of the Euratom National Contact Point in Ukraine. The knowledge and experience gained will be applied when advising Ukrainian researchers and organisations seeking funding opportunities under European Union programmes.
