The 7th International Scientific and Technical Conference NUCNEXT-2025: “Prospects for the Intriduction of Innovations in Nuclear Energy” will take place on 25–26 September 2025 in Kyiv, at the Grand Conference Hall of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (55 Volodymyrska Street). The event will bring together leading industry experts, researchers, engineers, students, and all those interested in the future of nuclear technologies.
What’s new this year?
The updated name – NUCNEXT – highlights a renewed focus on the next stage of nuclear development, its transformation, and the implementation of innovations. A poster session will provide an opportunity to present research projects in a visual format. In addition, the programme will feature Atom Slam – an informal science show where professionals from nuclear and related fields share their ideas in a simple, inspiring, and engaging way.
The conference agenda includes a plenary session addressing current challenges and emerging trends in nuclear energy. Thematic sessions will focus on innovations, safety, new reactor technologies, spent nuclear fuel and radioactive waste management, lifetime extension of existing units, and the impact of war on the nuclear sector. The event will also offer a platform for professional exchange between researchers and industry experts, encouraging discussion of scientific findings, energy security solutions, and ideas for future collaboration.
