Odessа Polytechnic National University (Odessа Polytechnic) is an institution of higher education founded on September 18, 1918.
About 6,500 students, interns, postgraduates and doctoral students study at the Odessa Polytechnic, and about 1,000 teachers, researchers, engineering and technical workers work in it. Among them are 57 academicians and corresponding members of state and branch Academies of Sciences of Ukraine, more than 120 professors and doctors of science, about 450 associate professors and candidates of sciences, 21 honored workers of public education and honored workers of science and technology of Ukraine, 13 academicians of international Academies.
The University includes the Institute of Energy and Computer-Integrated Systems, which trains specialists in theoretical and experimental nuclear physics and NPP engineers..
The institute prepares specialists needed for nuclear and thermal power engineering, power engineering, as well as specialists in automation and power equipment management. The institute effectively cooperates with nuclear and thermal power plants, operating industrial enterprises, where students have the opportunity to acquire practical skills in their chosen specialties.
Graduates successfully work at nuclear, thermal power plants and other industrial enterprises, research and design institutes and design bureaus, as energy auditors and inspectors in the energy sector and also provide consulting and engineering services.
The Department of Nuclear Power Plants and the Department of Theoretical and Experimental Nuclear Physics, which are most relevant to the activities of the Euratom Program, work at the Institute.
