The NURECAB project supported the participation of young specialists from SE NNEGC “Energoatom” in the 2nd International Scientific and Technical Conference named after V.M. Voevodin “Challenges of Modern Nuclear Energy,” held in hybrid format in Kharkiv on April 16–18, 2025.

Three young engineers from the Licensing Department and the Project Technical Support and Factory Acceptance Testing Department of the Atomproektengineering Branch of SE NNEGC “Energoatom” — O.V. Haran, M.I. Bortnik, and V.V. Komyshnyi — took part in the conference.

The event provided a platform for them to present their research and engage with other participants on topics such as:

  • development of Ukraine’s nuclear energy complex;
  • materials for nuclear applications;
  • safety and operational efficiency of NPPs;
  • lifetime extension and ageing management;
  • nuclear, radiation, and environmental safety in radioactive waste and spent fuel management;
  • fusion energy challenges;
  • and public engagement in the nuclear sector.

Their participation was made possible through the NURECAB Mobility Programme, which aims to support and strengthen the professional capacity of Ukraine’s nuclear sector. More details: https://nurecab.eu/programa-mobilnosti/
