On 4 November 2025, the National Science Centre “Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology” (NSC KIPT), in cooperation with the National Contact Point (NCP) “Euratom” in Ukraine, held an Information Day on the “Horizon Europe” and “Euratom” programmes. The event took place online and brought together around 50 Ukrainian scientists, researchers and representatives of research institutions interested in participating in the calls of leading European research programmes.

With an opening address to the participants, Sergii Pugach, Head of the NCP Euratom fission and Head of the Technology Transfer Sector at NSC KIPT, highlighted the importance of Ukrainian researchers’ participation in the Horizon Europe and Euratom programmes, which offer new opportunities for international scientific cooperation.

During the event, representatives of the National Contact Points (NCPs) presented the main areas of the Horizon Europe programme:

  • Tetiana Popova, Head of NCP ERC and Head of the Department for Project Coordination at the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, presented the European Research Council (ERC) programme. She gave a detailed overview of the Starting Grant, Consolidator Grant, Advanced Grant and Synergy Grant schemes, their budgets, application deadlines, and eligibility criteria for host institutions. She also provided links to key resources, including the ERC Work Programme 2026.
