Today, the European Commission has adopted the new Horizon Europe work programme for 2023 and 2024. Around €13.5 billion EURO have been made available for European research and innovation to tackle the most important challenges of our time.
We are investing in advanced knowledge and technologies to reach key climate action objectives, for instance to find innovative solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
We are supporting the EU digital transition to ensure European society and industry are fit to a new world more dependent on digital information.
We will continue to invest for a safe and resilient Europe supporting our recovery from the economic and social damages brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Global challenges require global solutions. The new work programme continues to strengthen the EU’s international research and innovation cooperation in many key areas such as renewable energies, food systems, cybersecurity or global health.
We will also support actions to better collaborate with many partner countries that want to work with European researchers and innovators.
We will also have actions of solidarity such as the support to researchers from Ukraine that can access our research infrastructures.
Horizon Europe work programme will support EU Missions in 2023 to delivering concrete solutions to some of our greatest challenges like improving our cities to comply with our objectives to reduce pollution or to safeguarding our Oceans and our biodiversity.
Now it is time to give wings to your ideas and your dreams. I invite you to discover more about the new Horizon Europe work programme and consult the calls for proposals.
We need your strong engagement!
