On 21 October 2026 at 12:00 (Kyiv time), Europa Media Trainings will host a free online webinar “Preparing the Grant Agreement and Consortium Agreement from a project management perspective.”

Understanding the legal and contractual framework is essential for the effective implementation of Horizon Europe projects. While the Grant Agreement establishes the formal obligations between the beneficiaries and the funding authority, the Consortium Agreement regulates the practical aspects of cooperation between the members of the project consortium.

The webinar will provide participants with an opportunity to explore the relationship between these two key documents and the main provisions that coordinators and beneficiaries should consider throughout the project lifecycle.

The session will focus on practical project management aspects, including:

  • the relationship between the Grant Agreement and the Consortium Agreement;
  • key provisions of the Grant Agreement that need to be considered during project implementation;
  • financial provisions, budget allocation and internal payments between consortium partners;
  • managing situations involving partners who fail to fulfil their obligations;
  • decision-making processes and the allocation of responsibilities within the consortium;
  • ownership of project results, access rights and intellectual property rights (IPR);
  • new lump-sum provisions in DESCA 2.0 and their practical implications for Horizon Europe projects.

The webinar will be particularly useful for Horizon Europe project coordinators, managers and beneficiaries who want to gain a better understanding of their rights and obligations and the mechanisms for effective cooperation with consortium partners.
