On 2 October 2026, the 7th European Fusion Teacher Day 2026 will take place. This annual online event, organised by the FuseNet network, brings together science and physics teachers from across Europe.
The aim of the event is to introduce secondary school teachers to plasma physics and controlled nuclear fusion, discuss approaches to teaching these topics to students, and encourage young people to explore modern science and promising energy technologies.
The event will consist of two sessions:
- National Session (10:00–13:00 Kyiv time) — presentations by representatives of the Ukrainian scientific community on current research in plasma physics and nuclear fusion in Ukraine.
- European Session (15:00–18:00 Kyiv time) — lectures by European experts, a presentation of new educational materials, and virtual tours of leading research institutions where scientists from around the world conduct their research.
The National Session is organised by the National Science Center “Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology”, the Euratom National Contact Point in Ukraine, and V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.
Participation details:
- The event is free of charge and will take place entirely online via Zoom.
- Participation in the National Session is limited to 100 participants due to technical capacity.
- All registered participants will receive electronic certificates of participation in European Fusion Teacher Day 2026.
