On December 2, 2024, the European Physical Society Conference on Plasma Physics (EPS 2025) Program Committee – Winter Meeting was held at Consorzio RFX, Padua, Italy.
The event was attended by members of the international program committee of the 51st EPS Conference on Plasma Physics (July 7–11, 2025, Vilnius, Lithuania) from different countries: USA, Italy, Norway, Spain, France, Germany, Czech Republic, Great Britain, Portugal, Netherlands, Switzerland, Finland and Ukraine. Ukraine was represented by the coordinator of the UA Euratom National Contact Point for fusion, head of the laboratory of the NSC KPTI, Ph.D. Yuriy Kovtun.



The EPS Conference (details here) is the largest annual event in the field of plasma physics in Europe, organized by the European Physical Society. The participation of Ukrainian scientists in the preparation of this conference contributes to the involvement of Ukrainian scientific institutions in the European research space.


The participants of the event were informed by the Director of Consorzio RFX about the work that is directly carried out at Consorzio RFX (details here). In the laboratories of Consorzio RFX, the participants also got acquainted with the RFX fusion device and the SPIDER and MITICA devices developed within the framework of the NBTF Project to support the program of creating a negative ion beam receiving system for ITER.
