The 34th Symposium on Fusion Technology (SOFT 2026) will take place from 20 to 25 September 2026 in Aix-en-Provence, France. This major international event will once again bring together the global community of scientists, engineers and industry representatives working in the field of fusion energy technologies.
SOFT 2026 will provide a unique platform for exchanging the latest scientific results, technological advances and engineering solutions related to fusion research and development.
The conference is organised by the Institute for Magnetic Fusion Research (IRFM) of the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), home to the WEST tokamak. Its location, in close proximity to the ITER project, highlights the strong collaboration between European and international research institutions in the field of fusion energy.
The programme will include plenary sessions, oral and poster presentations, as well as a large industrial and technology exhibition.
